38 year old shoe maker Bindura Silvage Ajantha in Pettah says that he has been in this business for the past twenty five years. His average daily income in Sri Lankan Rupees 300. He says that it is not enough to look after his three children, who are going to school.

Garbage is becoming a problem in parts of Colombo city. Laborers say that although they clean the garbage daily, some people are not bothered and keep on putting the garbage everywhere without any concern.
